After travelling the equivalent of 4 and a half times around world to come to work, Tain Librarian, Jennie Betts is retiring after 22 years and 3 months of service.
A gathering of staff, and some of the many friends made over the years through her work in the community came together on Saturday 14th January to present Jennie with gifts and pay tribute to this remarkable lady and her achievement of long service in the Library Service and to the community of Tain.
She plans to spend her retirement devoted to her two passions, tending her beloved flock of sheep on her croft, and gardening.
